Daily Devotional
/A few years ago, we had an amazing Relief Society President in our ward. You can learn more about my church and the callings we voluntarily serve in under the first post in the '“Serve” blog post, or at “LatterDaySaints.com”. Marla came and visited every sister (about 100 women) in our ward and brought a little laminated card for each. She wanted each of us to know how much she cared about us, and loved us. And that she prayed for us as a group, and for individual needs every day.
I have kept this card in my bathroom, where I can see it and read it as I get ready each day. Most Relief Society presidents serve anywhere from two to three years, but I have known some to serve as long as five! This can be a full-time job at times, and as all positions in our church are non-paid, it is a true labor of love and dedication. Reading through the things on this card each day, helps me to stay focused on the things that matter most, as well as keep life balanced.
