Easter Season
/Easter Sunday is over; however, I am choosing to keep our Easter décor up for the rest of the month. We can celebrate the Season of Easter every day of the year.
Today’s post is one last look at our local church group’s celebration of Holy Week, an event we put together for Palm Sunday. This video was created by our talented neighbor and friend, Wyatt Germer. He is a professional videographer and was asked on short notice if he could do a quick walk-through video. What he created is filled with light-filled emotion! Thanks so much Wyatt!
The following quotes are from Dieter F. Uchtdorf in a talk he gave this past Easter Sunday. I love the focus on LIGHT!
“Like the warmth and light of the morning sun, we will feel the love and healing of the Son of God. Darkness will give way to eternal light.”
“Jesus Christ is the light leading through darkness. We can walk toward that light despite challenges. We can find hope through the empty tomb. Christ’s resurrection brings enduring light.”
“Like Mary and those with her that morning, even when things seem dark, we step forward in faith, with courage and humility, and walk toward the Savior’s light. As we do so, eventually, the dawn of understanding will surely reward our faith.”
When we take upon ourselves the name of Christ, “the light of Christ will begin to bloom within us.”
“The scriptures teach not only who Jesus was but who He is.” “Because of what happened on that Sunday morning, we can speak of Jesus Christ in the present tense. He Lives. Today. At this moment. … Christ, even today guides, comforts, listens, calms fears and wipes away tears.”
To all of this, I add my own amen.
My wish for you this week is to look for ways to share the LIGHT of Christ with others as we hold the spirit of the Easter season within us, going about, doing good.
Love Ya, Les 😊
