A Little LIGHT and an Evening of Refinement

I love to try and experience new things. I’ve seen these little concerts advertised on Instagram over the past year or so. The first thing that caught my eye were the candles! Anything that incorporates LIGHT into a production or presentation is of immediate interest to me! These concerts are called “Candlelight by Fever”. The one we went to was at “The Grand America Hotel” in downtown Salt Lake City. These are small intimate concerts put on by a string quartet and it did not disappoint!

These concerts are becoming quite popular in cities all over the world.

The stage is surrounded by hundreds of faux realistic looking candles, and the candles are the only light in the room. I love the feeling of warmth and comfort a candle brings! LIGHT makes everything better! Add hundreds of them and I could hardly wait to be part of this experience!

Ron and I got dressed up and had a lovely evening together. They open the doors 45 minutes prior to the start of the concert. You buy your tickets for specific areas within the room, but you don’t have a specific assigned seat. We were able to choose great seats within our section. The concert lasted an hour, and the musicians were incredibly accomplished! We would definitely do this again. You can’t purchase tickets at the door, you must buy them online prior to the show.

I purchased the candle package along with our tickets. For $20 you get a box of three different sizes of the same type of candles they use at the concerts. They are not the quality of my favorite “Luminara” brand candles, but from a distance they look the same. We’ll see how long they actually last. They come with a remote control, and have the option to turn on every day at the same time, using a timer function on the remote.

After the concert, we walked across the street to “The Little America Hotel”, where we had parked and had our favorite dinner in the coffee shop cafe. Ron got his usual turkey dinner, and I got salmon.

It’s good to try new things. If you’re looking for something a little different, you might enjoy this! They have many to choose from.

I found them on Instagram by searching “Candlelight Concerts by Fever”.

My wish for you this week is to step outside your comfort zone and do something you normally wouldn’t do. You may find you like things you never thought you would! It’s easy to get stuck in the same old comfortable rut. I know we do! ☺️

Add some spark and LIGHT into your life, and try something new and different!

I hope you have a wonderful Light filled week!

Love Ya, Les 💚
