When You Think No One Cares

“At times some may think that no one cares – but someone always cares!  Your Heavenly Father will not leave you to struggle alone, but stands ever ready to help.” ~ Thomas S. Monson

I LOVE this quote.  It reminds me of a conversation I had recently with a friend I hadn’t talked to for way too long.  She mentioned how she has gotten together once a month with a group of ladies to quilt.  They’ve done this for years now.  She said they were all talking about how their conversations have changed throughout the years.  She remembered how their quilting sessions used to be filled with laughter and a happy, care free atmosphere.  As life’s trials, struggles and challenges have become more difficult and complex, she shared with me how there hasn’t been a month in the past few years that at least one person hasn’t shed some tears amongst the laughter and good times.

Because we are daughters of God, that makes us all sisters on this earthly journey.  It is our responsibility to build, uplift and help carry one another’s burdens.  We are never alone.

I found an adorable Christmas ornament online last year of an elephant, made by “The Festive Farm Company”.  Included with the ornament is a card that reads:

“In the wild, female elephants are known as fierce protectors.  And when one of their sisters is suffering, they circle up around her.  They close in tight, watch guard, and even kick dust around her to mask her vulnerable scent from predators.  And yet, we are the same.  This is who we are, and who we are meant to be for each other.  Sometimes we’re the ones in the middle.  Sometimes we’re the ones kicking up dust with fierce, fierce love.  But the circle remains the same.”

This beautiful message made such an impact on me, that I have now surrounded myself with more cute little elephant reminders of why I am here.  Sometimes I’m the one circling around a wounded friend or family member; but other times, I find myself in the middle surrounded by my own circle of loving, caring, supportive friends and family.

I’m so grateful for the circle of strong girls and women in my life who are filled with the LIGHT of Christ, and share it freely.  We have a loving Heavenly Father who sends angels to minister to us from both sides of the veil.  The quote at the beginning of this post reminds us that HE is mindful of us, is keenly aware of each one of us, knows us by name individually, and that we are NEVER alone!

Hoping and praying you can find your own circle of LIGHT filled women as we sojourn this life together!

Love Ya, Les  :)
