Life has been a lot lately. Don’t get me wrong, my life is great, and I am truly blessed! Do you ever feel your life is not your own? So many things going on, many out of our control.

Last week Ron and I took an active part in Holy Week as we studied each day together, the last week of the Savior’s life here on earth.

Today as I pondered what to share, I thought of how in the midst of life, what are the things that bring me peace, comfort and LIGHT?

It didn’t take me long to realize it is Him – The Light Of The World!

One of my favorite places to be is Home! I love the spirit that abides here. I love the calm and peaceful feeling I have when I am Home!

Before I jumped into the crazy business of this day, I walked around our Home.

With the focus of Jesus being even more present in my mind this past week, I noticed how He is ALWAYS with me!

Each room I walked in, there are reminders of Him! I have made a conscious choice to surround all who enter our home with reminders of Him!

I came to the realization that without Him, I would be lost in the swirling chaos of life that pulls me in all directions.

When life is hard, and gets to be too much, He is the constant foundation in my life! Every good thing I have is because of Him! He is my guiding LIGHT!

So if you are treading water in the hurricanes of life, take some time to surround yourself with Him!

He will bring you comfort. He will bring you peace. He will bring you calm in the storms. Because He is LIGHT!

This weekend I will be watching and listening to the words of the beloved leaders of my church – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Every six months we have General Conference. It is two days of worship, instruction, guidance, and bucket filling inspiration.

I am blessed to have Jesus as the focal point of my life. As I seek for ways to slow down, and allow my body and soul to rest, I know that I can always find peace and rest in Him!
