Leslie In London – Part Three
/OK . . . I know this is three posts in a row about London, but it was just that great! I mentioned before that I didn’t have a lot of free time, but I made the most out of what I had!
I’m also proud of how many steps I got in while there! One of the lovely things about London is how easy it is to get around.
Walking was my preferred mode of transportation, however I also became adept at using the tube (subway), Uber, and hanging out with my friend Nadine in her cute little two seater car!
I had the best time ever - even the night I walked home from Phantom of the Opera by myself, in the rain, late at night! Probably not the smartest idea in the future, but I did things in London I would normally never consider doing.
I made a promise to myself that I would go, get outside my comfort zone, and do all the things! There is so much to do and see. I’ve decided to make a list below, and include the pics.
It’s a lot, but when you’re right in the center of this vibrant city, you have to take the time to soak it all in! And that’s exactly what I did!!! I can’t wait to go back!!! And hopefully that opportunity will come sooner than later.
Since coming home and life hitting hard, in these moments, I close my eyes and return to London! Each time I think about it, I smile! It brings so much LIGHT into my life, and is something I will hold onto forever! There were only about three days the entire time I was there that it didn’t rain, but a rainy day in London is better than a sunny day in many other places! Never leave the house without an umbrella, even if the sun is shining. I have a host of new friends, and memories galore! This trip changed my life forever in so many ways!
What I learned in two weeks from “Judith Blacklock’s Flower School” filled two 150 page notebooks, and used the ink from two pens! But even more so, taking her classes fills you with the confidence and support to go out and see what else life has to offer. It’s never too late to start something new, even if you’re 61! I’m excited to see where this new found learning takes me! I highly suggest taking her online classes. Sadly, she will be closing her in-person flower school the end of this month. The online option will ensure Judith’s vast knowledge of floral design will last forever!
The challenge for this week is to step outside your comfort zone, and do something you’ve secretly wanted to pursue. You don’t have to go to London to do this, however, I highly recommend you go to London at some point in your life! The important thing is to start somewhere. Start small, and work toward your goals. As you achieve each small step, you will find the LIGHT within you grow brighter. It will grow so bright that others will benefit from the LIGHT you share.
Have a great week, and look for opportunities to learn and experience new things! The world is a beautiful place!
Be sure to check out Candle in the Window next week as I will be doing another fantastic GIVEAWAY – it’s been awhile, and you won’t want to miss this one!!!
