Random Acts of Kindness
/Today’s post will be short and sweet. I’m working on finishing up a big project that culminates on Saturday. I’ll be posting about that in a couple weeks. But for today I want to focus on Random Acts of Kindness. February 14-17 was set aside specifically for this purpose, by whom I don’t know but that doesn’t really matter. There was even a theme for the 2025 Random Acts of Kindness days. “Together, we can make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.”
Over the past few years, it feels like our tolerance for one another has reached an all-time low. This makes me so sad, why is it so difficult to be kind and nice? It is my hope and prayer in our search for LIGHT, happiness, hope, and joy that we can look for opportunities each day to serve someone. It doesn’t have to cost money, just look for ways to bring LIGHT into someone’s life each day. These opportunities are all around us. If a kind thought, word or deed goes through your mind and you can follow through with it, just do it! We can be the positive influence we all seek. Imagine if everyone woke up every morning with this one goal in mind! Ask the question each morning, “who can I serve today?” It might not be convenient, but then again it might just come to you randomly at the grocery store. Whatever good thoughts come to your mind, follow through.
If you don’t have time at the moment, keep a small notebook and pen with you and write it down so you don’t forget.
That way you can follow through with that thought when you have the time but be sure to act on it as quickly as you can.
I promise you will not only bring LIGHT and a smile to those you serve, but it will fill your own buckets as well. Make it a daily habit, add it to your routine. On average, it takes more than two months before a new behavior becomes automatic, but this can vary depending on the person, and the goal. Making it a concerted effort for two months adds up to over 60 days! That’s 60+ Acts of Kindness!
Look for ways every day for the next two months to serve someone, whether it’s thought out, or just happens naturally your life and those you serve will be filled with more LIGHT! Let’s make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time. Have a wonderful week!
Love Ya, Les 😊
