When You Think No One Cares

“At times some may think that no one cares – but someone always cares!  Your Heavenly Father will not leave you to struggle alone, but stands ever ready to help.”

I love this quote from Thomas S. Monson.  It reminds me of a conversation I had with a good friend.  She mentioned how she has gotten together once a month with a group of ladies to quilt.  They’ve done this for years now.  She said they were all talking recently about how their conversations have changed throughout the years.  She remembered how their quilting sessions used to be filled with laughter and a happy, care free atmosphere.  As life’s trials, struggles and challenges become more difficult and complex, she said there hasn’t been a month in the past few years that at least one person hasn’t shed some tears amongst the laughter and good times.

As sisters traveling this earthly journey together, it is our responsibility to build, uplift and help carry one another’s burdens.  We are never alone.  This quote reminds us that Heavenly Father is mindful of us, and is keenly aware of each one of His children.  He knows us by name, individually, and sends angels from both sides of the veil to lift and minister to us.

As welcome as all the rain and snow has been, it’s been a long cloudy winter.  I often tell myself in December on the day of Winter Solstice, the days are getting longer now, it’s almost SPRING! :)  If I can get through the dreary days of January, February brings Valentine’s Day.

Then Easter, as March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.  Spring begins to emerge and April showers bring May flowers.

At this point in the year, I want to slow time down and enjoy each day of new life.

These are the thoughts of LIGHT that fill my brain during the blustery months of winter here in Utah.

My soul yearns for the days to grow longer filling our lives with more LIGHT!  It is my hope that we can share our LIGHT with those experiencing dark times.  When we do this, we receive more LIGHT in our own lives.

Have a wonderful week!  Love Ya, Les :)
